The Basics
Steph was born in Cranston, Rhode Island in 1985 with Down syndrome. Determined not to let that keep her from living a full life, her parents always encouraged her to explore the world and be adventurous. She loves to dance, arts and crafts, and having her nails painted!
Steph is a proud graduate of Cranston High School West and Berkshire Hills Music Academy, a Special Olympics Athlete, and a member of the Warwick Witch’s Guild.
Steph knows she is wonderfully special, and likes to be known as “the homie with the extra chromie!”

What Are Your Favorite Things?
Friends are important, especially spending time with them. I love to swim for exercise, and to train for Special Olympics. I have done it for many years, and even won in swimming, and got to go to Nebraska for the finals! I also like to play softball, soccer and basketball, even though I suck at them! 🙂
I like to travel and go new places. I’ve been to Israel twice – once for a wedding! I’ve taken a cruise to warm islands, and have also been to Las Vegas – I can’t wait to go there again!
Some of my NEW favorite things are camping – I just did it for the first time, and I LOVE it – witches, and astrology. My new friend and worker Christina introduced me to these things. I would also like to try fishing, and going to an amusement park.
